Roundtrip, free-floating and peer-to-peer carsharing: A Bayesian behavioral analysis

چکیده
This study analyses behavioral psychological facilitators and barriers to using different carsharing business models. It identifies the most preferable models for trip purposes as well main motivators it. Users of services (N=1121) in German cities completed a questionnaire distributed by five operators representing three models: free-floating (FF), round-trip station-based (RTSB), peer-to-peer (P2P). All are performed from Bayesian perspective further discussion statistical is included. The results indicate that there preferences depending on purpose, with trade-off between model stood out short holiday trips. Age, educational level, income affected probability selecting operators. FF RTSB differ regarding driving habits trust services.

Free Riding in Peer-to-Peer Networks: Review and Analysis
Abstract— The popularity of P2P network paradigm due to the inadequacy of the traditional client-server model to handle increasing exchange of resources amongst millions of users worldwide comes with lots of challenges. One of these challenges is the problem of free riding. Free riding has been identified as a threat to the existence of P2P networks, as it degrades utilization and network perfo...
متن کاملTAC: A Topology-Aware Chord-based Peer-to-Peer Network
Among structured Peer-to-Peer systems, Chord has a general popularity due to its salient features like simplicity, high scalability, small path length with respect to network size, and flexibility on node join and departure. However, Chord doesn’t take into account the topology of underlying physical network when a new node is being added to the system, thus resulting in high routing late...
متن کاملBeernet: RMI-free peer-to-peer networks
The key issue in distributed programming is partial failure: how to handle failures of part of the system. This unavoidable property causes uncertainty because we cannot know whether a remote object is ever going to reply to a message. It is also the reason why RMI/RPC is difficult to use. In this paper we describe the most convenient object-oriented mechanism we have found to develop peer-to-p...
